Doesn't it sound wonderful--galloping down the beach, wind whipping through your hair, and the surf splashing at your feet? We think it sounds great too!
Unfortunately, it isn't a reality in our part of the world. Horses are not welcome on our beaches, and the one beach allowing horseback riding is over an hour away. This particular beach requires a very expensive, very limited permit.
We hear about local barns offering beach riding like it is just a hop, skip and a jump away. The truth is, beach riding is a bit more complicated than that. It can be done, but, to be fair and honest, it takes some planning, and it isn't inexpensive. Other barns advertising "beach rides" are just hoping you will call to inquire so they can talk you into a different activity.
"Bait and Switch" tactics don't work on me, and they shouldn't work on you either! If you would like to see beach riding offered in our area, please contact Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation or Martin County Parks and Recreation.
We are proud to provide our top-rated horseback riding trails to Jupiter, Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, North Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Loxahatchee, Juno, Tequesta, Hobe Sound, Stuart and the surrounding areas.
